The Resonance Trio is a musical project, which values the physical sound of the acoustic instruments (piano, double bass and drums) above anything else. Dynamic expression and textures are explored across a wide variety of groove- based tunes, hard-swinging music and sensitive ballads.
The three musicians hail from around the world and started playing together after all being appointed professors of modern music in Seoul, South Korea. Infectiously catchy and melodic original compositions
are combined with choice jazz repertoire from the 1950s and ‘60s.
Individually, and as a trio, they have accompanied some of the top names in jazz, including: Jerry Bergonzi, Steve Grossman, Don Braden, Herb Geller, Steve Wilson, Jim Rotundi, Lage Lund and Jim Snidero amongst many others.
